The Hub is a multi-sport centre located in beautiful Regents Park designed by David Morley Architects, completed in 2005 at a cost of £3 Million. A circular cluster of changing rooms is partly set in the ground and surrounded by a gentle grass slope.
On top of the "mound" a transparant circular community and club room exploits the 360 degree panoramic views accross the surrounding sports pitches. The innovative roof structure uses the principles of a bicycle wheel and the whole composition reinforces John Nash's tradition of buildings as "ornaments" in the park.
The innovative centre was short-listed for the 2006Better Public Buildings Award.
This is the 5th Year we have held Sticky Wicket at the Hub, and we are looking forward to another great day at a great venue where we have always been well received and are very grateful to The Royal Parks for their ongoing support!
